To mobilize the efforts by orienting the Muslim generation to be brought up in North America as per Islamic tenets, values, and doctrines, defined by the holy Scripture, the glorious Quran, and explained by The Holy 14 Masoomeen (A.S), so as to secure the opportunities for the performance of the religious obligations and education, regardless of gender, political affinities, and economic circumstances on the lines of the rights of religious liberty.
Bab ul Ilm Islamic Center was initiated in February 1996. The pioneer Alhaj Ali Rizvi with his outstanding efforts, dedication, and visionary leadership laid the foundation of this community center. His sincere commitment was the key to the establishment of the community's pillar, Bab ul Ilm Center in Mississauga.
Directed by the founder and true lover of the Ahlulbayt (a.s), he launched programs such as Sunday school, educational lectures, Quran sessions, and various events to engage the youth, men, women, and elders of the Shia community in the region.
In appreciation of his efforts and dedication, Bab ul Ilm Center continues to serve the community today with progressive programs, majalis, Azadari, and religious events to strengthen Islamic values across generations.
BAB UL ILM ISLAMIC CENTREÂ came in to existence in February 1982. The pioneer Aijaz Ali Bazmi with his extra ordinary efforts allowed the community of West-end to be able to worship and celebrate their prestigious religious occasions. This was considered an unachievable task due to non-availability of Shia Islamic Centre in the said region.
