Maulana started his religious education in Qum al Muqadas in 1983 with his father Marhoom Allama Hafiz Syed Muhammad Husnain Naqvi.

In 1988 Maulana moved to Pakistan and started the next phase of his religious education under the guidance of his grandfather Marhoom Ustaad ul Ullma Ayatullah Syed Muhammad Yar Shah Najfi.

It is important to note that all of Pakistan’s Ulmas are directly or indirectly the students of Marhoom Ustaad ul Ulma Ayatullah Syed Mohammad Yar Shah Najfi. It is during this period that Maulana  also started the process of learning the Quran by heart.

In 1995 Maulana moved to Chicha Watni to Jamia ul Rizvia Aziz ul Madaris and worked with and under the guidance of Allama Mohammad Raza Ghaffari. In 1998 Maulana carried on his endeavours in Lahore at Hauza Ilmia Jamia ul Muntazar and passed the Sultan Ulla Fazil Exam from there.

Continuing his spiritual journey, Maulana moved back to Qum al Muqadas in 1999 and started studying at Hauza Ilmia Qum al Muqadas Madrassa Hujjatia.

In 2005 Maulana went on a tour of Europe for Tableegh and then went to Pakistan to start teaching what he had learnt so far. Maulana started teaching as a Mudarris in Hauza Ilmia Dar ul Huda Mohamdiya in Ali Pur as his first assignment. Maulana was appointed the Principal of the same institute in 2006 and in 2008 it culminated in the position of Mohtamim e Aala.

In 2011 Maulana pursued the call to Canada for taking the learnings with him and helping out the community at large with Shia Teachings and this continues till today.
